This Residential Whole House Media Cartridge has been specifically engineered to match or even enhance the operational efficiency of the filters OEM substitute. Since the unit is designed to be easily fitted into the air-cleaner housing, spacers, plastic housings and conversion assemblies are not required. As traditional air cleaners are manufactured without fingers for their expandable medias, they can flutter during operation, creating a vibration that enables particles to pass through the filter. Thanks to BestAIR Pro's Pleat Stability design, each cartridge has a media pack that is effectively sealed in the outer perimeter of the frame, which is critical in preventing unfiltered air from bypassing the filter. And by integrating pleat spacers into the frame, the additional support generated effectively ensures that particles will not get through. A MERV 11 media is a phenominal upgrade to MERV 8 filters. It has a 65% efficiency in eliminating 1 to 3 micron sized particles, which are unrated in conventional MERV 1-10 filters.
