Features

Burnham is devoted to pushing the limits of heating technology and efficiency. Their ingenuity is responsible for some of the most efficient boilers on the market today. The ESC line of hot water boilers blends a reliable design with Burnham's cutting edge IQ Control System. ESC boilers save energy by doubling down on heat retention with an insulated jacket and plates. Possessing industry standard tapping locations, multiple venting options, and exceptional efficiency, the ESC4BNI-TS is an excellent replacement boiler or the perfect addition for new construction.

    Product Features

    Intelligent Hydronic Control
All ESC boilers have Burnham's IQ Control System. The IQ system consists of two primary components: an IQ Option Panel and an Intelligent Hydronic Control. The Intelligent Hydronic Control is the centerpiece of Burnham's IQ Control System. The IHC supports two setpoints, controls ignition, provides fan and circulator relays, and acts as an aquastat.

    IQ Option Panel
The IQ Option Panel provides a standardized and simplified way to add functionality to your boiler. It supports Burnham's IQ Option Cards for outdoor reset, an auxiliary high limit, and low water cutoff. Options card are plug-and-play, which means customizing your ESC4BNI-TS is easier than ever.

    Venting Options
All ESC boilers can be used in direct vent and power vent applications, affording you flexibility in terms of where you draw your combustion air from. The ESC4BNI-TS also includes stainless steel flue baffles which contribute to ideal combustion conditions.

    Durable Construction
Cast-iron construction of the boiler sections and stainless steel burner tubes contribute to the incredible longevity of ESC models. The heat exchanger is also made of cast iron, which allows it to accept lower return water temperatures. By using a lower system temperature when possible, you will save energy and prevent short-cycling.

Medium Learn More
Medium
Medium refers to the substance that carries heat through the heating system. Systems are either designed to use either Hot Water or Steam as a medium, and components are usually specific to one or the other.
Hot Water
Fuel Type Learn More
Fuel Type
To create heat, some form of fuel is required. Fuel Type specifies what the product uses as an input to create heat.
Natural Gas
Combustion Type Learn More
Combustion Type
Condensing appliances use leftover thermal energy from combustion gases to heat water in a secondary heat exchanger, resulting in higher efficiency and lower exhaust temperature.
Conventional
Vent Type Learn More
Vent Type
Products that use combustion (burning) of fuel to create heat also create potentially dangerous gasses that need to be exhausted (AKA "Vented"). Depending on the product, venting can be done via a chimney, through a side wall, or use a second vent to provide fresh air to the appliance.
Direct Vent
DHW Production Learn More
DHW Production
DHW (Domestic Hot Water) is potable water for uses other than space heat. Some boilers are able to provide DHW "out of the box", while others can do so with the purchase of optional accessories.

Modulating/Staging Learn More
Modulating/Staging
Stages are unique speeds or levels that equipment can operate at. More stages allow for better fine-tuned control of output, which improves comfort and efficiency. Modulating equipment can operate across a range of levels, giving the highest level of fine-tuned control. Learn More
