The RA15/TB is a special conversion valve that allows a single connection point- at the side of the radiator- to serve as both the supply and return for a hot water based system. One such application of the conversion valve is the transition of a cast iron 1-pipe steam radiator to hot water. With the conversion valve the system can be transformed to a conventional one pipe hot water (diverter) or two pipe hot water systems. The RA15/6TB valve is designed for conventional two pipe systems where each radiator is individually supplied. A traditional supply and return manifold can be utilized when piping the RA15/6TB into the system. With the installation of the RA15/6TB valves any RA2000 thermostatic operator or TWA electronic actuator can be mounted, providing individual temperature regulation and controlled comfort for the room.
