EM-LD104L8, EZ-Mate Electric Plenum Heater - Downflow, 10 kW, 18" wide - 34,000 BTU series plenum heater has been designed to handle both heat pump and air conditioning applications in one easy to use package. There are no separate interface controls or special chip codes needed. During installation you simply set a dial to the specific application you are working on and that's it. The EZ-Mate also has a unique feature that allows these units to be installed in 100-amp service panels. The "L" models include built-in load shed capability. This great feature allows you to drop 5 kW of the EZ-Mate when other appliances such as an electric water heater or electric dryer turn on.

The patented Electro-Mate Zero-Clearance Pleanum Air Heaters are electric conversion system converts your existing natural gas, LP, or oil furnace into a "Dual-fuel" (electric/gas-oil) system. Having this ability to use lower cost electric rates and by using the most cost effective heating source available can save you hundreds of dollars off of your heating bills each year. EZ-Mate Electric Plenum Heater can be used in conjunction with a single stage heat pump, with one or two-stage air conditioning, or without air conditioning. This unit is compatible with single or multi-stage gas or oil furnaces with or without variable speed blowers. This unit includes automatic dual fuel control, with manual override switch. A conventional 4-wire thermostat must be used when installing with a heat pump.

    All of the Electro-Mates Plenum Electric Heaters come in upflow and downflow configurations, they simply insert into the plenum above or below your existing furnace. All thermostat control wiring is simplified and handled within the Electro-Mate. The Electro-Mate uses the existing blower to distribute the air throughout the home thus saving the need for new air handling equipment.
