Works great

Replacing an older tankless. Works much better than competitor unit. No cold water sandwich to speak of. Quick starting of flame. Should have switch a long time ago. Much quieter as well. Wish it had more than 2 re-circulation settings.

I had zero problems with the easy installation. The unit has performed perfectly since the intial start up.The price is easily offset by the money saved on energy cost. So, far it has met all expectations.

It's a really great product
By James M.

Purchased 02/12/2017 |
Review Posted 03/07/2017
Well it's been a great purchase for me so far. I read a bunch of reviews, talked to a friend of mine that's a plumber who recommended the AO Smith brand, so I bought it and installed it myself. I wish it had better instructions for people that wanna do it themselves but overall it's been installed for a couple of weeks it's been doing great

Did lots of research before purchase, found this unit is very quiet, gets hot water to faucet in short time and never runs out, can fill bath tub with hot water. We all love this heater.

Gas Hot Water - Very Inexpensive to Run
By Andrew A.
New York
Purchased 08/31/2016 |
Review Posted 10/28/2016
Bought my tank less gas water heater as I was just getting and switching to gas and my electric was 23 years old. Gas was not here until a month and a half later. I am up, running and took a very very long hot shower. Nice to never be able to run out. I ran the sink, kitchen sink, shower and it had no problem keeping up. Now comes the $350 dollar rebate from my gas supplier and a $300.00 tax credit from the Feds.

That is very nice when Comfort.com sells this at almost half of list. It does seem to generate a fair amount of condensate but we are in the rainy season and it has to be sucking in a lot of moisture. Since my electric water heater died a month and a half ago just when I got domestic water my last electric bill was half the next month. Now I am off my camping unit using propane and my bills should be fantastic. On a 20 Gallon propane tank it took about 20 gallons of propane for the time to get natural gas. One sad note I thought I was buying a unit made in USA as it was an AO Smith and the box came made in Japan, then on the heater on the face says powered by Takagi.
