Features
- Compact Design
- The 537-1 has a compact design for installation in small, tight places.
- Permanently Sealed Diaphragm
- A permanently sealed diaphragm prevents the water log that typically comes with tube-type air chambers.
For over seven decades Amtrol has provided solutions for water systems, and the 537-1 is no exception. This water hammer arrestor can silence banging or vibrations in your pipeline by absorbing the hydraulic shock typically associated with fluid or pressure waves in the pipe. 537-1's heavy-duty butyl rubber diaphragm absorbs the inertia created by the moving water, which quiets the noise. The large size makes this water hammer perfect for multiple fixtures, and the diaphragm eliminates the waterlogging and typical failures that can affect stub-type and piston shock suppressors.

Product Questions
Answered by Ken, the eComfort Product Expert
I have a well with a Wellxtrol tank. I installed a whole house filter due to high amount of sediment. Banging of pipes from a few fixtures occurs due to the whole house filter back pressure. Did not have this prior to filter installation. Can the Diatrol 537-1 be used as a whole house arrestor? There are 4 fixtures that cause the banging, but all on different branch lines. I figure that I never had any banging, with the well tank bladder absorbing the shock, so if I install the Diatrol 537-1 after the filter on the main house line it should work. If I by pass the filter with the three way valves, there is NO banging. Please let me know your opinion.
