In 1954, Amtrol invented the first expansion tank to control pressure build-up and energy consumption in heating and chilled water systems. More than 50 years later they are still the world?s leading expansion tank manufacturer. The FT expansion tank collects expanded water as system temperatures rise, reducing potentially dangerous pressure build-up. Ideal for residential applications, the FT is equipped with an automatic fill valve, 100 percent tested sealed air cushion, water-tight reservoir, air stem for pre-charge adjustment, and a deep drawn steel tank, all ensuring the reliability of your tank over the long haul. FT-109-100 also includes an air purger that separates water from air, as well as an automatic air vent that eliminates system air. This keeps your whole system running smoother, quieter, and more effectively.
Product Features
FILL-TROL System
FT's FILL-TROL system eliminates the need for a separate fill valve, as it is built right into the tank, allowing tank pressure to control the system fill.
Heavy Duty Tank
From the deep drawn steel tank to the water-tight reservoir for expanded water, this thermal expansion tank is constructed for maximum strength and efficient energy consumption.
Eliminates Wasted Energy
Expanded water caused by thermal expansion is collected by the FT tank which returns the water back to your system which preventing faucet drips, intermittent toilet fill, and pressure relief valve discharge.
Protection for Your System
FT expansion tanks are designed to protect your water heater, fixtures, and appliances by preventing dangerous pressure build up.
Air Vent
The included automatic air vent eliminates system air, keeping your system running smoothly.
Air Purger
The air purger separates air from water before sending the water into the expansion tank and air to the vent.
