The Fantech HERO 120H Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) is a 118 CFM heat recovery ventilator with top ports and recirculation defrost capabilities. The HERO 120H is a 120 volt unit designed with 4 ports with 5" ducts. HRVs make your heating and cooling systems more efficient by transferring heat between fresh and stale air during ventilation. Its compact size and wall bracket make this HRV easy to mount. The HERO 120H Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) features a counterflow core and washable electrostatic filters.

This HRV has made a huge difference for our family. We live in a northern climate, and the humidity was too high in our house during the winter. Condensation was forming on the windows and rotting them out. This machine lowered the humidity levels and made the air in the house noticeably cleaner and easier to breathe.
It is quiet enough and was not a problem to install. Would have been nice if they included some low voltage cable for the controller. I found the 5 inch ports awkward as flexible ducting comes in either 4 or 6 inch, but it worked out.

I like the unit, whisper quiet. Easy to put in. Works exactly as it should. Sturdy. Don't like that it didn't come with a controller for the price tag. Other than that so far so good.

We have installed our HRV and have been please with it so far.
We think that for the price compared to other systems and the efficiency of the unit it is a good value.
The only thing that would be nice is if they offered an option for which side on top the ports could be located.
We had a tight install location and the porting of the out door ducts and indoor ducts would have been better if located on opposite side of the unit.
Just would have made it easier and less bends in the ducting, but overall very pleased.
