In fairness, this is my first generator. I cannot review the generator other than in a month it runs its weekly test with no problems. Still awaiting the backordered WiFi package from Generac. I can however give praise to Electric Generators Direct. The generator was ordered, shipped, and delivered within a week. Neatly and nicely packaged with lift gate delivery. Generac and others said 4-6 months. I needed it quickly for a new home install and Electric Generators Direct had it in stock.
Bought the winterization package because I didn't know if the warranty would be void if I didn't. Have heard that due to a Generac design flaw, the breather heater kit is a MUST to prevent possible oil blowout from the engine. No outages yet but in New England in the winter, they are expected. We'll see how the Generac 14 KW does then. Not a whole house unit. No A/C or electric range on the generator but all the rest of the home essentials are on it.
