- LG's new R-32 mini split units use a 5-conductor cable (Not Included) instead of the standard 4-conductor, improving communication reliability and enabling a new leak detection feature.
- Inverter Technology
- LG's heat pump systems are designed with efficient inverter technology. An electronic expansion valve and a variable speed compressor carefully regulate the refrigerant flow, reducing energy consumption and allowing for consistent, accurate temperatures.
- Built-In Wi-Fi
- The KNUAB181A has built-in Wi-Fi, enabling the control of your LG air conditioner with smart enabled devices. Simply download the SmartThinQ® app on your smart device to get started.
- Integrated Base Pan Heater
- The KUSAB181A Outdoor Condenser features a factory-installed base pan heater in the drain pan. This prevents condensate from freezing and damaging the unit in frigid climates.
- Gold Fin Protection
- To ensure the reliability and longevity of the KUSAB181A's heat exchanger, LG employs a Gold Fin coating that prevents corrosion and improves durability.
- Quiet Design
- The KNUAB181A indoor unit features a cross flow fan that restricts the pressure of air flow and lowers sound levels. Both the outdoor and indoor units enjoy reduced electrical and mechanical sound thanks to their brushless direct current fan motors.
- Self-Cleaning Coil
- The KNUAB181A features a self-cleaning heat exchanger coil that automatically removes dirt and moisture. This helps to prevent unpleasant odors and to combat the formation of mold.
- Jet Temperature Control
- Quickly get your zone comfortable with the Jet Heat and Jet Cool modes. With the press of a button, your system will temporarily adjust the set point and fan speed to provide rapid heating or cooling.
- Sleep Mode
- With the Sleep Mode and Timer functions, you can set the indoor unit to save energy at night. Sleep Mode will incrementally adjust temperature for an hour before the Timer function automatically deactivates the unit.
- Dehumidify
- LG's indoor units include a dehumidifying operation mode. In this mode, the unit's internal sensors monitor temperature and modify the set point and fan speed to remove moisture from the air.
- Improved Air Quality
- The KNUAB181A uses a dual filtration system to keep your air clean. A washable anti-fungal filter protects against dust and bacteria, while a 3M Micro Protection Filter captures microscopic irritants for pristine air quality.

- Disconnect Box & Electrical Whip Kit - The Disconnect Box & Whip Kit provides a safe and simple way to connect your outdoor condenser to your fuse box.
- Connecting Wire - This durable, insulated wire provides power to your indoor units from your outdoor condenser.
- Outdoor Condenser Plastic Pad or Wall Bracket - We recommend outdoor condensers should not be placed directly on the ground. An outdoor condenser pad or wall bracket will provide a stable way to mount your condenser free from obstructions and debris. Adding these accessories to your order will provide a complete, ready-to-install mini split system. All Mini Split Systems require one Primary Mini Split Installation Kit.
