- LG's new R-32 mini split units require a 5-conductor cable (Not Included) instead of the standard 4-conductor, improving communication reliability and enabling a new leak detection feature.
- Inverter Technology
- LG's heat pump systems are designed with efficient inverter technology. An electronic expansion valve and a variable speed compressor carefully regulate the refrigerant flow, reducing energy consumption and allowing for consistent, accurate temperatures.
- Air Flow Options
- This unit offers two automated air flow options: Swing Mode and Swirl Wind mode. Any of these modes can be activated to provide optimal circulation specific to your home.
- Integrated Base Pan Heater
- Base pan heaters come factory installed on all LGRED° outdoor condensers in order to mitigate the risk of damage caused by freezing condensate.
- Gold Fin Protection
- To ensure the reliability and longevity of the KUMXA481A's heat exchanger, LG employs a Gold Fin coating that prevents corrosion and improves durability.
- Quiet Design
- Thanks to a brushless direct current fan motor, both the outdoor and indoor units in this system produce less mechanical and electrical noise, allowing them to provide comfort that doesn't disrupt your home.
- Jet Cool
- This LG unit features a Jet Cool operation mode for rapid cooling. In this mode, the indoor unit will temporarily adjust the set point and fan speed for 30 minutes to quickly cool your zone.
- Automated Operation
- Auto operation mode continually compares your zone's current and desired temperatures and uses that data to intelligently adjust the unit's fan speed and refrigerant flow to provide optimal comfort.
- Sleep Mode
- With the Sleep Mode and Timer functions, you can set this indoor unit to save energy at night. Sleep Mode will incrementally adjust temperature for an hour before the Timer function automatically deactivates the unit.
- Condensate Protection
- Condensate overflow can damage your indoor unit and your home. An internal condensate pump with 27.5" of lift protects the indoor unit through reliable, effective condensate removal.
- Dehumidify
- LG's indoor units include a dehumidifying operation mode. In this mode, the unit's internal sensors monitor temperature and modify the set point and fan speed to remove moisture from the air.
- Improved Air Quality
- These mini split indoor units include an anti-fungal filter to keep your air clean. This filter captures contaminants like dust and bacteria, and it is washable to ensure long term air quality.
- Hot-Start
- When the Hot-Start function is enabled, the indoor unit's fan will not engage until the outdoor condenser has had the opportunity to warm the indoor coil. This prevents the unit from blowing cold air during heating operations.
- Recommended line set sizes for indoor unit connectivity:
- KNMDB071A: 1/4" x 3/8" Line Set
- KNUDB091A: 1/4" x 3/8" Line Set (Qty 3)
- KNUDB181A: 1/4" x 1/2" Line Set
- A branch box with a 3/8" x 3/4" line set connection is also required. Additional branch boxes and line sets may be required based on your configuration.
- All LG branch boxes systems require a min of 16.4 feet of line set between the condenser and the branch box, from the branch box to the distribution box and from the distribution box to the indoor unit.

- Line Set - This double insulated tubing transfers refrigerant efficiently between your outdoor condenser and indoor units.
- Disconnect Box & Electrical Whip Kit - The Disconnect Box & Whip Kit provides a safe and simple way to connect your outdoor condenser to your fuse box.
- Connecting Wire - This durable, insulated wire provides power to your indoor units from your outdoor condenser.
- Outdoor Condenser Plastic Pad or Wall Bracket - We recommend outdoor condensers should not be placed directly on the ground. An outdoor condenser pad or wall bracket will provide a stable way to mount your condenser free from obstructions and debris. Adding these accessories to your order will provide a complete, ready-to-install mini split system. You will need a line set for each additional indoor unit.
LG's devotion to providing efficient ductless solutions can be seen across the Multi F line. This ceiling cassette heat pump system pairs a powerful KUMXA481A outdoor condenser with five ceiling cassette indoor units. LG's Multi F ceiling cassette indoor units feature four air outlets which allow them to provide consistent air flow to the furthest reaches of large rooms. In addition to providing excellent coverage, the ceiling cassette indoor units also feature an exceptionally low profile. When installed, a grille less than 1" thick is the only visible clue that your room is receiving efficient heating and cooling. This system also features LGRED° Heat technology, which boasts superior heating performance in extreme cold weather climates.
