We are really enjoying having this unit. It does a great job of keeping our small space warm or cool. When the temperature drops to the low 30's it seems to struggle to regulate and makes lots of noise in the process. Other then that it is a fairly quite machine.

This a great AC for my detached pool house/garage. It cools about 600 sq ft well. The building is spray foam insulated with vaulted ceilings, and takes a little while to cool down if I don’t run the unit for a few days, but holds a great temp if I keep it on and set.

Our through-the-wall air-conditioner died in the middle of the summer. My wife and I took our time to find the right fit for replacement. We landed upon a mini-split system to gain efficiency and more power. After getting a few quotes from local HVAC companies we began looking into more DIY systems. While pursuing this angle, we realized that we could save a lot of money by purchasing a system online.
Meanwhile, we found local installers willing and able to install a mini-split for us, so we set our course and decided to get a higher-quality mini-split than the DIY systems out there. A local HVAC contractor did the install for under $1000. All told, we saved $3,000 by buying online and having a local installer do the work for us.
LG is not available locally for us, so our installers had never seen LG units before and were impressed. They commented on how well designed it appeared to be and that it should be easy to service.
Performance-wise we knew the 24,000 BTU unit would be border-line enough power for the space we hoped it would cool. We'd been optimistic that it would be up to the challenge, but sadly it isn't quite up to the task. Our space is an open living-room, kitchen, and dining-room with bedrooms down a narrow hall. The fan is powerful, but not powerful enough to move air down that hallway into the bedrooms. Additionally, the unit runs almost none stop on hot days to keep the space cool. We were looking to keep costs to a minimum, so we were willing to make compromises in performance to save money.
The inside unit is a little louder than I expected, but on high it is much quieter than the old through-the-wall unit we had. The "Jet" mode is impressive and can cool a room FAST. It is easy to control the unit with the remote or phone app. These are great features and it is clear that LG has worked hard on quality and design.
I would absolutely recommend this unit. As for eComfort.com, they made the purchase simple. The accessory kit was complete and I appreciated knowing it came with everything I needed. I ordered on Tuesday night before Labor Day and had it delivered the following Wednesday. I was quite satisfied with that timeline and didn't have to contact eComfort for anything.

We just moved to Florida and I brought 2 of my collector cars with me. We all know about the intense humidity and heat of FL summers, so to keep them in temp/humidity controlled environment, I had the HSV5 model installed. It is the perfect perfect device to keep them from being eaten by rust, which means their value continues to grow. If you are on the fence about having one, DO IT!
