Features

This air outlet guide improves the operating range of cooling operations in Mitsubishi MXZ-C mini split outdoor condensers. Typically, the minimum ambient temperature for cooling with MXZ-C condensers is 23 degrees F. With the PAC-SH96SG-E air outlet guide, an MXZ-C can cool in ambient temperatures as low as 5 degrees F. It also helps prevent short-cycling, which decreases the efficiency and longevity of the unit.

Prior to the installation of the air guide the mini-split made quite a bit of operating noise which was loud enough to wake me from my sleep on occasion. Now the operation is as quiet as can be. The reason I purchased the guide is to prevent snow from smothering the fan in the winter. Have not had a chance to test that aspect of the device but given the size and depth of the louvers I am expecting it will be effective in protecting the fan inside the compressor.

I can't speak directly as to the installation because I had a professional install it, but it didn't take him long and it looked quite straight forward.

The price was an absolute bargain compared to what my HVAC company wanted to charge. Great value!
