Features
- Side Connections
- The HC24 comes equipped with side supply and return connections, permitting the unit to be rotated 360° without piping changes. This also allows the unit heater to be installed in very low clearance areas with little effort.
- Two Piece Casing
- A two piece casing is used with the HC24, allowing for incredibly easy access to the coil in case maintenance is required.
- Tapped Suspension Holes
- The HC24 comes with pre-drilled tapped holes for suspension by threaded rod. This reduces installation time for your contractor, saving you money on installation.
- Thermal Shock Resistant
- The serpentine copper tube coil is very resistant to thermal shock even at high steam temperatures. This prevents undesired warping of the coil itself, as well as decreasing necessary maintenance.
- Smart Coil Layout
- The layout of the coil does not include coil headers. This eliminates potential leaks and maintenance without increasing the overall size of the unit.
- Baked-On Polyester Paint
- The HC24 features a neutral colored baked-on polyester paint, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability while blending in with a wide variety of environments.
- Modine Installation
- Installation by a professional installer is required by the manufacturer.

Modine's HC24 is a high grade hot water/steam unit heater that can be fitted into a new or already existing hydronic system with ease. The HC24 can emit 24,000 BTU/hr of heating power with a powerful fan behind it for air propulsion. High grade steel is used for the casing to ensure durability and longevity. Designed for horizontal use, the unit heater is excellent for heating long corridors or blanketing walls with heat. The HC24 has supply and return connections on the side of the unit, allowing it to be installed into areas with low clearance.

Nice compact heating unit to heat my garage area and prevent water pipes from freezing. Connected to third boiler zone with PEX, circulation pump, Aquastat fan control, and room thermostat.

This unit is installed in a 38 x 24 open cellar. Before installation, the cellar temp was in the mid 40 degree range. Now I control the temp at a constant 60 degrees unless i'm working there. I adjust the t-stat to a desired temp and it remains constant. It is a little noisier than i expected, but not objectionable. Easy to install, even for this 83 yr. Old.

It did arrive with a dent in it but the dent does not affect the performance. I wish it had mounting holes on the bottom so it could be hung upside-down, to allow the supply and return to be on the opposite side, it would have made installation much easier for me.
