I researched for weeks for a shop heater. When I found the Modine and read the review and the history of the company I was sold. Heater was delivered on time no damage to the unit. As far as the heater it woks great. My shop is 25x45 and 18’ ceilings with mostly r-11 insulation it usually takes 30 mins to raise it from 30 degrees to 65 I highly recommend.

I have had the 60K HDS unit installed in my wood shop for just over a week now. It is working great. The area I am heating is 25 x 24 with 12 ft ceiling. We have had temps under 20F and it maintains 50 easily, hardly ever running. It can also get it up to 60 quickly when I am working in the shop.

We have a metal building with no insulation. In South Texas our winters are basically in the 40's and 50's with occasional 20's to 30's. Our heater warms it up quickly where we can work in short sleeves. If I would insulate, then I'm sure it wouldn't run very much. Can't speak to the fuel consumption as we are on propane and it was just filled. Will update later. This appears to be a 5-star product.

I have a 2 car garage heated by a direct vent Williams furnace. The pilot light kept going out even after I changed the thermocouple. This was a 50,000 BTU furnace and took over 2 hours to raise the garage (very well insulated) temperature to 70 degrees. I decided to purchase a new furnace with higher BTU rating to heat the garage quicker. I compared furnaces from other manufacturers and found this Modine furnace would work the best. It is 20-1/2 inches tall and I was able to mount at the top of the garage 9 foot ceiling leaving more than enough clearance so I could walk under it without hitting my head. Best of all, it is 125,000 BTU and it heats the garage from 40 degrees to 70 degrees in less than 15 minutes. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with its performance. I installed the furnace myself and the instructions were very good and easy to follow. I highly recommend it.
