- Electric Knockouts
- Electric wiring knockouts and field wiring connections on the HD30 keep installation costs low and save time during both installation and maintenance for your contractor by simplifing all required electrical work.
- Permanently Lubricated Motor
- The motor on the HD30 has a permanent, long lasting lubricant straight from the factory. This means that the motor never has to be oiled, reducing maintenance costs, general wear and tear, and operational noise.
- Power Venting System
- The power venting system quickly and efficiently brings flue exhaust from the unit heater to the outdoors, and requires minimal installation labor. This keeps installation related costs as low as possible.
- Baked Polyester Paint
- The HD30 features a neutral colored baked on polyester paint, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability while blending in with a wide variety of environments.

This awesome unit heats the space I bought it for exactly as intended. It’s small and compact size gave me the agility to install it virtually anywhere with ease. Its owners manual was a little bit technical, but installation was relatively simple. I would buy a second one in a heartbeat.

I researched for weeks for a shop heater. When I found the Modine and read the review and the history of the company I was sold. Heater was delivered on time no damage to the unit. As far as the heater it woks great. My shop is 25x45 and 18’ ceilings with mostly r-11 insulation it usually takes 30 mins to raise it from 30 degrees to 65 I highly recommend.

I have had the 60K HDS unit installed in my wood shop for just over a week now. It is working great. The area I am heating is 25 x 24 with 12 ft ceiling. We have had temps under 20F and it maintains 50 easily, hardly ever running. It can also get it up to 60 quickly when I am working in the shop.

We have a metal building with no insulation. In South Texas our winters are basically in the 40's and 50's with occasional 20's to 30's. Our heater warms it up quickly where we can work in short sleeves. If I would insulate, then I'm sure it wouldn't run very much. Can't speak to the fuel consumption as we are on propane and it was just filled. Will update later. This appears to be a 5-star product.
