Nice Heater

Pretty quiet compared to our old heater. Fan is still noisy when running but is like white noise - to be expected. Puts out heat well.

Modine Hot Dawg HD - 75,000 BTU - Unit Heater, Good Heater
By Joe D

I purchased the Modine Hot Dawg HD - 75,000 BTU - Unit Heater - LP - 80% Thermal Efficiency - Power Vented - Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger
Model #: HD75SS0121
This unit came well packaged without damage. The installation instructions were easy to follow, and went well. I installed it in a garage 45' by 35' with 10' sidewalls. R11 insulation in the walls and ceiling. Three 9' by 8' overhead doors and two service doors. This unit heats the area extremely fast, and gives uniform heat from floor to ceiling
I have friends with a similar unit they have had for 20 years without any trouble, They have done noting to their units
I did hire a heating contractor for one hour to stop and perform startup, and confirm gas pressure. all went fine

Very well built

I researched for weeks for a shop heater. When I found the Modine and read the review and the history of the company I was sold. Heater was delivered on time no damage to the unit. As far as the heater it woks great. My shop is 25x45 and 18’ ceilings with mostly r-11 insulation it usually takes 30 mins to raise it from 30 degrees to 65 I highly recommend.

Well satisfied
By Tyler S

I am very well satisfied with the heater. It’s much quieter than a heater I purchased a while back and it seems to heat much better even though it’s the same BTU rating.

Great unit for heating a shop
By Jerrold W
Farmington, Minnesota
Purchased 11/27/2018 |
Review Posted 12/21/2018
I have had the 60K HDS unit installed in my wood shop for just over a week now. It is working great. The area I am heating is 25 x 24 with 12 ft ceiling. We have had temps under 20F and it maintains 50 easily, hardly ever running. It can also get it up to 60 quickly when I am working in the shop.

Excellent product and service
By Allan G
Bandera, Texas
Purchased 11/13/2018 |
Review Posted 12/17/2018
We have a metal building with no insulation. In South Texas our winters are basically in the 40's and 50's with occasional 20's to 30's. Our heater warms it up quickly where we can work in short sleeves. If I would insulate, then I'm sure it wouldn't run very much. Can't speak to the fuel consumption as we are on propane and it was just filled. Will update later. This appears to be a 5-star product.
