The PTC110 is a fully condensing unit heater, a first for the unit heater market. 'Features'= 3 stars is because it is a unit heater, it doesn't really have any features just like most unit heaters. It does it's job and uses damn little propane to get it done. I picked the 110K BTU model for my 35X70X25 metal building shop and the R34=+ walls & roof it has. It is mounted at 14' (bottom of heater) in the middle of one long wall. I am putting in a 5ton heat pump to be the main source of heat & cool, was my original plan. I just wanted to put a couple of seasons on the shop and see how much H&C I needed. The Effinity93 will be the heat source when OSA is below about 35°, will experiment with that figure also. Heat pump will be a MrCool DIY unit. The propeller fan on the Effinity is a tad noisy, but by unit heater standards pretty normal. If it bothers me, I'll put a squirrel cage blower on it.

After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise. Even if the motor was replaced under warranty, it would still be the same noisy motor. If you want to be able to talk in the vicinity of this heater you will need a megaphone.
