Features

Navien's technological prowess and dedication to efficiency are on full display in the NHB gas-fired condensing boiler. The NHB-150 was designed to make your home more comfortable while lowering its energy use. To achieve that end, Navien utilizes the combination of a condensing secondary heat exchanger and a modulating gas valve to reduce energy waste while providing steady comfort. The NHB also features an integrated control module for easy access to the boiler's many adjustable functions. Perhaps most impressively, Navien managed to fit all of that power, efficiency, and functionality into a boiler small enough to mount on the wall of a closet or laundry room.

    Product Features

    World Class Turndown Ratio
The NHB-150 can deliver anywhere from 10,000 to 150,000 BTU of heating, thanks to a modulating gas valve with a 15:1 turndown ratio. This allows it to provide consistent comfort through varying conditions while avoiding short-cycling.

    Dual Heat Exchanger Design
Dual stainless steel heat exchangers enable the Navien NHB to wring nearly every BTU of heat from the combustion gases without worrying about damaging effects like corrosion or mineral scaling.

    Installation Versatility
The Navien NHB is a flexible heating solution, suited for a variety of applications. It can be easily converted from natural gas to liquid propane and from direct vent to natural draft. Additionally, this unit is equipped to manage low gas pressure gracefully, allowing it to be used with 0.50" or 0.75" gas lines.

    Safety First
Navien included six different safety devices in the NHB condensing boiler. Four different components to monitor the ignition and combustion processes and two high limit checks watch the water and exhaust temperatures.

    Environmentally Friendly
The Navien NHB can lower your home's utility bills and carbon footprint. It features a metal fiber burner that reduces energy consumption and NOx production.

    Custom Control
The integrated controls on the NHB-150 allow installers to adjust many of its functions to fit your home perfectly. Everything from turndown ratio timing to reset curves to DHW and supply water temperature can be tweaked for optimal comfort and efficiency

Medium Learn More
Medium
Medium refers to the substance that carries heat through the heating system. Systems are either designed to use either Hot Water or Steam as a medium, and components are usually specific to one or the other.
Hot Water
Fuel Type Learn More
Fuel Type
To create heat, some form of fuel is required. Fuel Type specifies what the product uses as an input to create heat.
Natural Gas
Combustion Type Learn More
Combustion Type
Condensing appliances use leftover thermal energy from combustion gases to heat water in a secondary heat exchanger, resulting in higher efficiency and lower exhaust temperature.
Condensing
Vent Type Learn More
Vent Type
Products that use combustion (burning) of fuel to create heat also create potentially dangerous gasses that need to be exhausted (AKA "Vented"). Depending on the product, venting can be done via a chimney, through a side wall, or use a second vent to provide fresh air to the appliance.
Direct Vent
Modulating/Staging Learn More
Modulating/Staging
Stages are unique speeds or levels that equipment can operate at. More stages allow for better fine-tuned control of output, which improves comfort and efficiency. Modulating equipment can operate across a range of levels, giving the highest level of fine-tuned control. Learn More

Net I=B=R Capacity Learn More
Net I=B=R Capacity
I=B=R, also referred to as Net Output or AHRI Capacity, is the rated heat output of a boiler after accounting for combustion efficiency, piping loss, and an extra pickup factor. We recommend sizing steam boilers based on the I=B=R rating.

Low NOx Emissions Learn More
Low NOx Emissions
NOx is a byproduct of the combustion process, and it's output is regulated in some jurisdictions. Many regulators mirror SCAQMD rules, which regulate air quality for some parts of Southern California. Low NOx appliances emit less than 40 ng/J (nanogram per Joule) of NOx. Learn More
