Works As Expected!
By Chris OBrien

I purchased my QuietCool early last Fall. I waited for Winter to install it so I wouldn't cook working in the attic. I'm writing this review in the Summer when the temperatures have gotten in to the upper 90's and 100° F and had a good chance to try in out.
The QuietCool works great. Being installed in my garage ceiling, it keeps the garage several degrees cooler that what I'd experienced in the past. The air from the attic is forced into the house attic and pushes hot air out the ridge vents. The house cools off much faster in the eventing when I've run the Quiet Cool.
I've found that I need to increase the garage intake vent size to accommodate the powerful draw/minus pressure that the QuietCool exerts on the garage space. This will increase efficiency and, I'm sure, be better for the QuietCool.

GREAT Fan To Move Air From Your Garage

We live in SC and our garage doors face west. The garage gets very hot in the summer. This fan has been a great solution . I modified the set up so that it plugs into a smart plug so we have this on a routine and can manage on/off via Alexa. Garage and attic are both cooler when it is running. Moves a lot of air! You will an operating window for proper pull through. Overall well with it. Would have loved the option of having this running via a thermostat switch but this was not available when we bought our unit

Easy DIY Installation
By Kirby H

Installation of the fan was relatively easy. The ceiling template was very useful. I was able to tie in the electric from the junction box of one of my garage door openers, punched a hole in the fan’s junction box and wired using In-Sure wire connectors vs wire nuts (easy!!).
Oddly enough, the most challenging aspects of the installation were not with the installation:
1) wall controller has a poor design, will not secure to the base. There are small hooks in the plate and holes in the controller, but the hooks are so small it is very difficult to get the controller on to the panel (falls off when someone closes the garage door).
2) fan cover: had to cut flaps in the flanges on the fan box to prevent pushing the screws out of the drywall. Ended up placing wood under the flanges to secure the screws to. There should be holes in the flanges to allow the screws to secure to the metal, or include a reference to this in the instructions so holes can be drilled prior to installation vs creating extra trips to the attic to problem solve.

Easy: Pairing the controller and operation.

Fan operation: generates noise in the garage, like any large fan does, cannot hear it in the house.

Effectiveness: I expected to feel a significant pull of sure / movement like a ceiling fan, however, it is softer pull. Set to run for 2 hours over the last 2 nights and was welcomed with a cooler garage in the morning (west facing garage, outside daytime temps in mid-80’s, created 90+ in garage with sun prior to installation).
Overall, I’d recommend the product. Only 2 major gripes are listed above.

Tremendous Difference
By James S
Tennessee
Review Posted 11/05/2022
I have always had a problem with my 2-car garage retaining residual heat, especially late in the day after the sun has been baking on the garage door and the brick exterior of my home all day. It was even an issue first thing in the morning as there was a noticeably higher temperature in the garage than inside the home.

I did some research regarding how to solve this dilemma and chanced upon a YouTube video showing how easy it is to install the GA ES-1500. I did the calculations on the square footage of my garage and the numbers worked out perfectly, so I ordered the QuietCool unit. It arrived quickly and undamaged (thankful) and was a snap to install.

The difference is unbelievable!! It's like a whole different garage now: comfortable and extremely well-ventilated. The noise level is not much more than an exhaust fan in a bathroom, I could not be more pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to all my friends and family members.

Good Quality

Very well made but would have liked a thermostat that senses the attic temps and automatically controls the fan when attic temps get too hot. Instead of a thermostat they include a timer switch. I don't think that's so practical.

Easy to install and the remote works well, wall mounted in my shop, with the fan which I have ceiling mounted over my shop.
I was fortunate to have a spare attic outlet to plug into.

Great Garage Fan

Super easy installation and great directions. Fan is powerful and fairly quiet. I had my door to the house cracked open and when I turned the fan on, it closed the door. It definitely moves some air! Extra long cord to plug into outlet and the remote fan switch is great.

I Use It Weekly—Big Fan!

This is a great exhaust system. I’m not a DIYer and I installed this myself, with ease. It’s perfect for garage work and for clearing out cigar smoke. It is relatively loud at the highest setting but not any louder than a regular house fan. Great product.
