It Helps!
By Eric C

Review Posted 08/28/2022
The day after installing my Quiet Cool 3081, the temperature outside was 92 degrees. I was resting in my house at 69 degrees!
We rarely use our air conditioner, as it is. But, now, our need for it is nearly eliminated as the Quietcool pumps cool air into the attic in the morning, which slows the entire house from warming up.
We do still use a normal fan to blow the cool air towards the intake. The first night I did not do so, and the house did not cool quite as much as it had with the regular fan. Both of them combined are amazing!

I love my Whole house fan, I am in Bay Area CA and with this fan, I will have to use my AC probably 1-2 weeks in a year and only during the day. It cools my 1500SF home.

This Product Has Made A Huge Difference In Our AC Usage!

From ordering to installation the product is great. Packaged well. Awesome instructions! I was missing a screw, probably my fault, and the company sent me some within a couple of days. AC usage during the day went from running more than 6 to 8 hours down to just about 1.5 to 2 hours. We run it on night at night to get our house to about 65 to 68 degrees and in the morning close everything up and the house stays cool well into the afternoon before the AC kicks in! Love this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone on the fence.

Absolutely Amazing!

Compact, easy to install, energy efficient, and quuuiiieeetttt! Works on the entire home. I would recommend getting the switch and timer as well. I can't even imagine trying to find the comparable and correct ones. Breath of fresh air. We were going to install central air as well, but it really isn't needed with this fan. Absolutely love it! Only thing missing that I wished it had though is a replaceable air filter. It has none. I assume it would inhibit the efficiency of the air flow and that's why there isn't one.

Beat The Heat.....at Night

Bought the unit for those hot summer nights and boy was I regretting not buying one in the past. The whole house fan works when the outside temp is lower than the inside. I like the fact that it is smaller than the big ones that are sold at the local hardware stores. It's quiet and does the job at night. Only issue is when you install the unit be careful as the unit fits snug, and one needs to cut the hole smaller then what the outline indicates. I ended up cutting the hole bigger than needed and secured it with Velcro. However I'm very satisfied

Really Nice Fan!

This is a really nice fan, the vent area is small so its not as noticeable as those big fans, but moves just as much air. I bought the fan that is accurate for my sq footage, wish I would have went one size up, for when I open a lot of windows, but it still does great. It will slam your doors if you don't have enough windows open, I always thought that's how you know air is moving!
I didn't buy any of the add ons like the electrical switches because they seemed expensive, so it was difficult to decipher the wiring instructions since I didn't use the expensive hardware they wanted me to use, but after scratching my head for a minute I figured it out with a 2 switch light switch.
I would buy again over the fans they stock at my local Lowes or Home Depot for energy efficiency, how quiet it is, and how little room it takes up on my ceiling.

This think is amazing

We ha e a 2400sq/ft house. The fan is way overkill for this size house however I knew it was. The main reason I got this one was because of the amount of cfm on low. This efficiency model is 164 watts at 4304 cfm. At .1055 cents a kilowatt (my rate i pay the electric company) thats 1.7 cents an hour. Thats less than 42 cents a day if you run it ALL day. For fun we filled up the bottom floor with a Halloween fog machine so think you couldn't see in front of you more than 4 feet. With 2 windows opened down stairs and the fan on high, it cleared the house of fog in 4 mins. If you want to save on your energy bill in the spring and fall months. This is highly recommended. Like I said. Get a efficiency model that will pull the air flow you need on low. I believe you will be glad you did. Oh and as far as noise. On high it sound like the ac is running. (Our unit is in a closet) just a real low hum. On low you dont every notice it. You have to stop and see if its on.
