The QC ES-6000 advanced whole house fan is a new take on the idea of whole house ventilation. So far I am pleased with the quality of the fan, the ducting and the thoughtfulness of parts included that are needed.
I must say, the remote is a bit archaic and lower (poor) quality. When you pull the cover off to install the batteries the entire circuit board and battery contacts want to jump out at you. It does not do the rest of the system or QuietCool justice.
I did notice, on the first uninstalled test it rattles a bit on high. I will check to see if anything is loose. The metals bands are not making the noise.
I will give another report when installed.

I absolutely love this fan. It makes our house so much more comfortable. Can not see myself living without one of these again. My only gripe is the lack of programmability of the remote. We live in a world where everything is connected and we can't get a little more technology built into these to be able to program start, stop, run-times? I get the dangers of having fans like this run without proper airflow, but still, I'd be really nice.

Excellent fan. I would recommend selecting as large a fan as possible. I called eComfort support who recommended purchasing ES-6000 to get air flow desired.

It took a while to find the right spot in the house that offered attic access, power, and enough ventilation. But we’ve been using the QC fan every day since! Even using it for a few minutes brings in nice, clean air and vacates all the stale indoor air. Make sure you test run the fan before taking it up in the attic.

We ha e a 2400sq/ft house. The fan is way overkill for this size house however I knew it was. The main reason I got this one was because of the amount of cfm on low. This efficiency model is 164 watts at 4304 cfm. At .1055 cents a kilowatt (my rate i pay the electric company) thats 1.7 cents an hour. Thats less than 42 cents a day if you run it ALL day. For fun we filled up the bottom floor with a Halloween fog machine so think you couldn't see in front of you more than 4 feet. With 2 windows opened down stairs and the fan on high, it cleared the house of fog in 4 mins. If you want to save on your energy bill in the spring and fall months. This is highly recommended. Like I said. Get a efficiency model that will pull the air flow you need on low. I believe you will be glad you did. Oh and as far as noise. On high it sound like the ac is running. (Our unit is in a closet) just a real low hum. On low you dont every notice it. You have to stop and see if its on.

After I installed the unit I tried it out the following week. Outside temperature was 65 °f, the inside temperature was 79° f and dropped to 70°f in a matter of 15 minutes approximately.
I'm very impressed.
Key thing is that you need to multiple your total sq ft 3 x. So the 3100 unit is great for a 1000 sq ft home.

This unit keeps our 1500sq ft condo nice and cool in the evening and throughout the night. You can hear it a little on low and it’s more of a mechanical sound than the fan spinning, seems normal though.
AC comes on much less frequent during the day and it’s really only towards the late afternoon when it’s needed even with outside temps in the 90’s.
Rated so so on value. It’s a fan some flexible ducting and and metal box and grate. So $900 bucks and another $800 for less than two hours install? I did it myself. Hardest part was finding a suitable area on thE attic that was full of pipes, wiring, heating etc.

This thing awesome, brings in a lot of cool air at night but I run it for many reasons. It’s just amazing how fast the temperature can drop with just two windows in comparison to every window in the house all night. 10X or more faster.
