Schluter is expensive as you might expect a premium product to be. It was extremely easy to install even for a first-time installer. Kit was complete and instructions were easy to follow. We'll be installing it in a second bathroom.

We purchased a 60 sq ft kit. We installed it ourselfs. Wi fi thermestate is very easy to program. I just wish the heating cable was a little longer. It was only 37 sq ft. We have a few cold spots.

I typically buy the Ditra by the roll. I decided for the ease of installation to go with the prepackaged mats in the kit. What a disappointment. Too many seams to line up and to much hassle. I will stick to buying Ditra products by the roll in the future. It makes installation much quicker and easier. The labor costs of messing with the mats costed more than the cost difference in the materials. Rolling the mats after application caused the mortar to push between the seams. Everywhere the heating wires were to be run had to be cleaned by hand. Frustrating! Buy the rolls and save on labor time.
