Great boiler - super easy to install. Run 20 psi in your system at a minimum in boiler application.
Would make a perfect whole house boiler for house of 4 or so.
Easy controls and nice touch screen.

Great little heater
By Kory W.
Greenwich, Connecticut
Purchased 01/29/2019 |
Review Posted 02/20/2019
This is my second tk jr. First lasted 11 years with no maintenance. First install was without maintenance ports. Make sure you install with port kit. I'm sure descaling this unit twice a year will make it last even longer. Great value for what you get.

The new model is even better than the first!

Review Posted 01/21/2019
My first TK jr was installed in 2005. I sadly bragged how well the two Takagi heaters had done and I was surprised they had lasted so long without service. I came home from vacation and Junior would not stay lit. Given its age I felt it should just be replaced and was surprised to find the same design I could just switch out. The new controller is great. I opened the old unit and found evidence of heating on the computer board. Not worth replacement. Amazing product and long lived. I only hope the new model does as well! Came quickly after order. Great company to work with.

The unit arrived safely and on time, well packed, and was easily installed. I should have bought this years ago as I can now fill the bath tub in the house.

Awesome in northern climate
By Scott D
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Purchased 11/09/2017 |
Review Posted 12/19/2018
I was worried it wouldn't be able to give me the 85 degree temperature difference I was looking for in a tank-less water heater but it takes 40 degree lake Michigan water and raises it to 125 with no issues. I tried to find the point it couldn't maintain temperature but even when it's coldest in January and February it holds the temperature when using both our showers, the dish washer, and laundry machine. I am very impressed.

Good product.

I've used this heaters many times for heating domestic water as well as in hydronic radiant heat in NG and LP version. First one I've installed in 2006(the old version) and it is still working after replacement of few O rings and flow adjust valve. Since new version was introduced there was a zero problems. Also, it was on an old version WH, there was problem with ingesting dust and lint, specially when installed near clothes dryer, the problem was solved by use of automotive filter on air intake, see picture. It does what it suppose to do well.

was delivered almost overnight! installation was a breeze. Had propane gas supply and hook up done by a professional. he finished within 1 hour.
Great performance. Note: dip switches do not match the pitures as shown in manual.
Total cost of installation was the same as estimated 40 gal hot water tank installation
