The old Takagi water heaters were the best, but this new one is better and cost less! We moved to another house and put one here too. The old water heaters are still working very well.

This unit works great, seems to be quality and is priced right

This was an easy choice when replacing our 15+ year old direct vent tank unit. Same price or cheaper. Takes up less space and easy to install. Screw it to a wall and make your water and gas connections. The hardest part is running at 3" PVC line out a sidewall.

I purchased a Takagi tankless water heater 4 years ago and just purchased a second one for our lake home! Absolutely the best value for the money you can buy! Stop thinking about making the switch and do it! Unlimited supply of hot water when you need it. I will only buy a Takagi tankless water heater from now on!

Great value

I purchased the TK110 to replace a TK-jr which had performed well in a high usage heating application for 12 years. The 110 is not an exact replacement vent, gas, and water connections have been relocated an inch or two requiring some plumbing revision.
The unit quit working after 1 week. BUT tech support is excellent. Diagnosed problem quickly, received replacement part next day. Total down time 2 days.
Excellent tech support. Excellent product.

There were issues! - Though now resolved
By Debi S.

We were replacing a Takagi unit, after it failed (after 4 1/2 years), with an upgraded Takagi unit. The warranty would not be honored because, we were told, the unit had not been properly installed. Meanwhile, eComfort did a great job helping us to determine we were ordering the unit right for us. And delivery was amazingly quick. However, the manifold assembly with gas valve in the unit was faulty and had to be replaced and so we were still without a hot water heater. Due to weekends and holidays that required 11 days, and another 3 on top of that for another Takagi knowledgeable plumber to install it. It was bad enough when the first unit failed, but when the NEW one - fresh out of the box - didn't work, we were (underestandably?!?!) upset. This was just in time for the holidays and we had guests staying with us during this entire time. As darn inconvenient as it was (and it WAS!!!), it reminded us of just how very fortunate we are under normal circumstances ... and even when they weren't "normal."
I've rated the product as Good and Average. I believe Takagi is a good manufacturer for tankless hotwater heaters. When they're working, they work great. We were disappointed that the first unit gave up the ghost so quickly, but trusted the company's reputation & performance enough to buy from them again. Even great companies produce a "lemon" every now and then, it was just bad luck that we received one of them. HOWEVER, now that the unit is working, we're happy with it.
