Polypropylene Heat Exchanger Core
The high efficiency polypropylene heat exchanger core in Venmar SOLO series HRVs brings fresh air into your home from the outdoors, pre-conditioning it with the heat energy in the stale air it expels from your home. The end result is a home that is both efficient and well ventilated, keeping you and your family feeling fresh.

Expels Excess Moisture
In colder climates, where HRVs are ideally suited, an HRV will also function as a dehumidifier. Excess moisture in your home's air is vented to the outdoors, keeping basements dry and potential mold and mildew growth to a minimum.

Recirculation Defrost Cycle
Venmar SOLO series units occasionally need to defrost their internal core due to condensation buildup on the heat exchanger surfaces. A separate operation mode is included for this purpose which circulates warm air from your home throughout the unit, melting any frozen condensate in the process.

Equalizes Indoor and Outdoor Pressure
