The unit is giving us domestic hot water but not floor heat yet as the old plastic manifold had to be replaced. It heats quickly and a full hot bath is quick!

Fair price, promptly delivered.
Owner installed - not recommended unless you are qualified. I have a background in building and engineering, am a qualified residential and commercial inspector, and have installed HVAC and plumbing in the past. Be prepared to spend almost the cost of the unit on required additional system safety & other components. Installation manual can be a bit ambiguous but tech support from Weil Mclain is very good: friendly, knowledgeable, easy to access, and staffed by real people.

Really Great Combi Boiler

Like this combi boiler a lot. Very easy to install and connect using the very expensive manifold but the manifold has it all and made connecting easy. Provides the shutoff valves all copper pipe and brass valves, worth every penny.
Startup was a breeze with the manual and the digital display. Only changed 1 setting that was from plastic flue pipe to metal stainless steel or al29. That was it, fired right off had almost instant hot water, easy to set hot water temperature. Then shut off 50 gallon gas water heater. Instantly saving money!!!
Next started heat and set water temperature to 130 degrees so grandkids don't get burned on old cast iron radiators. Followed manual, did all the quick start-up tests, everything was great. Used about a month now and keeps temperature very steady. I have been charting and recording temperature, only varies a few tenths of a degree. You can set up heating curves in boiler to match the house. Only wish so far would be that is was Alexa connected or had Wi-Fi.
Last boiler was also Weil McClain and it lasted 26 years. I am expecting to see a major improvement on gas bill. Old boiler in its day was 87 percent efficient this is 95 up to 97.5 percent efficient. Also old boiler was 140k BTU, I reduced size on new boiler to 120k BTU and it has a 10 to 1 turn down ratio. Simply said, it will lower the flame to match heating requirements. An outside temperature sensor which came with boiler helps to minimize flame and or gas usage thus creating energy savings. Nicest part is very overshot on temperature. older boiler could not do those things and over shot temperature wasting energy.

Not only did I purchase this boiler but a lot of extra accessories from eComfort. I have had other boilers in my home but this combi boiler, combination of boiler and hot water unit, has my house feeling more comfortable and cozier than it ever has before, my house was built in 1913. It is quiet and very efficient. I especially want to thank Chris for all the help that he gave me in solving several of the challenges that I had. This brand was an excellent choice and model ended up being an excellent choice
