Nice Upgrade For A Hydronic System
By Kat D

Upgraded from a 1970 era Weil McClain and am happy with the increase efficiency and quiet running. Set up nicely as a wall mounted system (came with a base too). The wiring diagram instructions were very clear. Many many possible plumbing layouts were suggested in the installation manual, which made it easier to come up with one that met the systems needs. I think that if the Sentinel X100 product is required for a warrantied installation, then Weil McClain should include the initial quart with the boiler.

Experiencing the EVG 110

Telephone ordered the boiler & propane conversion part, 10/23. Boiler shipped/arrived 4 days later 10/27, however conversion part was absent. Upon multiple calls, this part was then ground shipped arriving on 11/4, delaying connection to gas supply by 7 days. Then upon electrical hookups, experienced 'no 120V power'. Called WM Tech support on 11/6, tech. concluded Control module (CM) was bad. Received new CM on 11/9, but upon replacement, same no 120V power issue. My plumber resolved initial wiring problem on 11/11, and boiler finally operational on 11/12. Overall, very disappointing initial experiences w/both eComfort sales, then WM tech support.

I needed a floor mount boiler so went with this one and couldn't be happier. I did buy the quick set up manifold which was crazy money, but I had one day to rip out the old oil boiler and get this one up and running so it was my best option. Easy to install and wire with lots of different options. Programming was very easy and many options during set-up. Very quiet operation even at high fire.
All I had was my old Bacharach combustion test kit, so I hired an outside firm to do the combustion test to set it up to max efficiency. Without having to do any adjustments, they got a 97.63% reading which was one of the best he had ever seen and better than what I expected.
Very impressed

Excellent design in a compact boiler

Easy to instal and excellent hookup features. No plumbing on top of the unit makes the intake and exhaust ports really easy to connect to. The unit is compact and lightweight I had no problems getting it into position and leveled up. I installed mine in less than a day. Because the unit is Energy Star rated I got a $750 rebate from my gas company which made buying this unit very affordable.
