- During power outages, you have a lot to worry about, but your furnace won't be one. The Direct-Vent furnace requires no electricity for operation.

- Rather than using indoor air to fuel combustion, the Williams direct vent pulls intake air directly from the outdoors. This means the heat your furnace generates isn't fed back into the system, maximizing efficiency.
- Easy Installation
- The Williams Direct Vent furnace mounts directly on the outside-facing wall. Venting is accomplished through a single 9" opening to the outdoors and vent materials that will accommodate most installations are included.

Williams' Direct-Vent Wall Furnace makes heating any home easy. The Direct-Vent model is attractive and economical with a slim design taking up minimal space. Safety is no worry with this furnace, having a matchless pilot igniter and sealed combustion chamber requiring no inside air. The soft white, scratch-resistant coating can blend in nicely with any homes decor.
Product Note
A thermostat does not come included with this unit and is required. The Williams P322016 thermostat is compatible and can be found under the "Accessories" tab. Alternatively, any standard millivolt thermostat can be used.

I had asked what replaced a 30 year old like Williams furnace. This was close, but I had to do some jerry rigging here and there. The legs needed cutting on the top and bottom to fit my venting.
As for the directions they have not changed in 30 years. The pilot now needs to be near what is now a thermopile. The directions show the pilot on the thermocouple. Not the same thing, so you need to get a wall mounted millivolt thermostat, which really should be included.

Was looking for something that required no electricity to use as true backup emergency heat for our home. This unit not only takes up little space and looks great, it is a very high quality unit and performance exceeded my expectations. We had it installed by a local gas contractor who was also very impressed with the build quality of the product.

We went with this furnace over more efficient models because it will work with no power. That said with the add-on blower (which needs power but isn't necessary,) heats up a cold room very quick. Installation was easy aside for some pilot light quirks.
