- Vent Limit Safety Switch
- The vent limit safety switch is equipped on all vented heaters. This turns off the unit in case the vent is blocked, protecting your family from carbon monoxide and fires.
Safety is a main priority with the vented room console heaters. They come with a re-settable vent limit safety switch to prevent carbon monoxide from entering your home. Williams' burners are engineered for quiet operation and maximum heat efficiency. The Williams free standing heater with its black powder coated finish provides a discrete durable finish that blends into any home's decor. A thermostat does not come included with this unit. The Williams P322016 thermostat is compatible and can be found under the "Accessories" tab. Alternatively, any standard millivolt thermostat can be used.

Nice looking. Heats adequately. Most annoying feature is the clanging and banging after completing its heating cycle. I can only hope it gets better with time.

Bought a 65000 BTU heater with fire front, I mistakenly ordered a natural gas instead of LP, called customer, no problem, they sent me a conversion kit with, excellent instructions!!! This thing has ABSOLUTELY SURPASSED, all I expected!!!! Yes, as the metal gets hot and cools, it pops, it’s called, metal moves as it gets hot and cold!!! Last word, AWESOME HEATER!!! We’ll, two words

Getting it installed was more (time/$) than I had expected. Time because the plumbers were so busy it took them awhile to finally get me on their schedule. $ because they weren't cheap. Heat produced is prodigious and watching gas flames in unit is awesome. Reset button wasn't described in installation booklet so when it wouldn't come on I had to call the plumbers again. Once they showed me where it was when it happened again I just reset the unit and off it went. Unit will easily heat the house. Good insulation will keep it from coming on throughout a cold night. It is quieter than the furnace I'm replacing but not as quiet as the furnace in my folks' home. But then that was 60+ years ago and items/parts didn't come from outside the USA. It also clangs - not the unit, but the metal vent - as the metal is heated/cooled. You get used to it and in a way it's reassuring to hear the noise at night. I like it a lot.

The only reason that I gave it three stars in performance is because of the loud noises that it makes. While I understand that furnaces typically make those kind of noises, furnaces are usually in a basement. A hearth heater is typically in a living space close by other people. It makes a lot of very loud noises. So much so that I thought maybe an animal had gotten in there. Otherwise its a very nice heater and works very well.
